IDARA – E- JAFERIA is the oldest and the largest institution of Shia Isna Ashari community in Hyderabad and in the southern part of India. Established in 1944, Idara –e- Jaferia aims at religious education free of cost to Shia Isna Ashari community through operating schools, establishment of libraries and organization of lectures on current topics of relevance to the community, in addition Idara also helps to the students by supplying religious books free of cost.
Initially started with the basic aim of imparting religious education to children, the activities of the Idara have increased and expanded manifolds with the untiring and sustained efforts of Late Moulana Syed Taqi Hassan Wafa Sahab Qibla and after Moulana Wafa Saheb Qibla passed away in Jan 1998, Moulana Syed Hasan Mahmood (Abu Talib) Sahab Qibla had continued and successfully running the Idara –e Jaferia and the Idara is managed by the Board of Trustees.
The Idara is presently operating over 45 religious schools throughout Telangana & Andhra Pradesh and on the borders of neighboring states.
This is the only a well-stocked Library over 20,000 books in various languages & subjects equipped with Islamic /Modern books available for Shia students / Masses in south India.
Idara has established a vocational training institute called Jaferia Technical Institute (JTI) in Hyderabad in the year 1980.
